May-hem

I crashed over the weekend. I don't know why I was so exhausted... must be from the heat, or from several restless days. What a chaotic start for the month of May with so much things to do and think about :( :( :(

Some highlights which made some days seem a little less dreary...
I had one day off last May 2 for Labor Day so I scheduled a trip to Starry Paradise (星空草原) with my friend Ate Pierre. Starry Paradise is an art installation made of 4 million recycled PET bottles depicting Van Gogh's Starry Starry Night painting. It was a very pretty sight, with probably 354 lovey dovey couples walking hand in hand and taking selfies (figures not exact, but you get the point haha). At first glance you might think they're made of flowers, but have a closer look and you'll see colored bottles making up the entire "painting".

To get there, take the local train from Taipei Railway Station to Wudu Station-roughly 30 minutes. After exiting the station, cross the street and look for the Starry Paradise Free Shuttle Bus poster. Entrance is NT$ 100.

Kaymee's former colleague and good friend Cati visited Taipei 2 weekends ago. I helped prepare her itinerary and managed to find time to meet her and her friends. This is us having a hotpot feast while the rain poured like crazy.

Ariesa, an Indonesian friend of mine from church also came for a visit after leaving Taipei in 2013. It was nice catching up with her. Thanks for kidnapping me for lunch on a workday!

Ate Emma from my church family is leaving for France and staying there for a year. I will miss her so much... her random Line SOS messages and her encouraging words. I got teary eyed during her send-off dinner last night.  Love you Ate Ems! :)

And lastly, Laban Leni! :)

Happy Monday and a blessed week ahead!
